There are a number of intelligent walkers for physically challenged people, however, most of them don't take into account the different rates at which disabled people walk. Therefore, a smart walker with variable speed control is necessary for the recovery of stroke victims. If the elderly were to use a smart walking device, then it should be capable of recognizing collision courses and avoiding them effectively. The smart walker should also be able to accommodate for variable stride lengths. Finally, using an image processing sensor was the best option to improve the intelligent walker .
